Original Oil On Limited Edition Klein Blue Printed Board
International Klein Blue (or IKB as it is known in art circles) was developed by French artist Yves Klein.
I love this Blue, for me it is the Lapis Lazuli of paint, it is the royal supreme colour often depicting the robe of Mary, mother of Jesus. This colour felt serene and graceful to me and using white oil paint only I worked in reverse to achieve depth, tone and contrast. |
